1. Do I need to have a web site already to use SunShop?

No. SunShop will run stand alone and will act as both your home page and store. It is recommended that you do have a site to provide your clients with additional information about your company.

2. Do I need to be a programmer to use SunShop?

No. You can run SunShop without ever looking at the code. It is a plug and play application. After installation you will be able to maintain and edit your site via the administration area.

3. Can we modify the source code?

Yes. If you feel comfortable doing so you may alter the source code to suit your needs. Please read the license agreement for more specific information regarding altering the code. Note that the source code is 98% open source.

4. What do I need to run SunShop?

You will need a web server or hosting account that is PHP and MySQL enabled. Check with your hosting company for more information.

5. Is it difficult to install?

The installation is completely web based. Setup should take you less then 5 minutes. You do not need to be a technical person. If you can FTP files to your server, then you can setup our products.

6. Is the license cost a one time fee?

With your initial purchase you are entitled to FREE updates and support for 1 year. If after that year you would like to continue receiving updates and support you can renew that service at half of the original license cost. Otherwise, your license is good forever.

7. Where can I get updates in the future?

When you make your purchase you will gain access to our client area where you will be able to download products and updates in the future.

8. Do I need a merchant account to process orders?

No. Only if you would like to process credit cards in real-time do you need a merchant account. You can always accept other methods such as PayPal, checks or money orders.

9. How can I accept credit cards without a merchant account?

If you have a business bank account, you can probably get a terminal from your bank in order to process cards manually. The shopping cart will collect the credit card information and you can process it using your terminal.

10. Can I customize the shopping cart to look like my current site?

Sure. You can easily change the templates yourself to look like your current site. If you feel this may be too much for you, we will be happy to give you a quote to do it for you.

11. Do I get your demo design layout with my purchase of SunShop?

The demo itself was customized to show how easy it is to customize the look of the cart through the templates. You will not however receive the demo template set with your purchase. If you need your template or design integrated into the cart, we do offer this service.

Yes, adding features that don't currently exist is available upon request! We also do template manipulation and integration. You may fill out a quote request here.
